VISUAL NARRATIVE AND ILLUSTRATION - PROJECT 1 26/3/2018 -  16/4/2018 week 1 - Week 4 Ng Shu Zhi (0327158) Visual Narrative and Illustration - Project 1 The Vormator LECTURES Lecture 1: Introduction to Illustrator We were introduced to our lecturer of this course and a brief introduction to Adobe Illustrator and the pen function in Adobe Illustrator. We were to learn how to trace shapes using the Vormator challenge shapes. Outcomes of the lecture: - We learned how to use the pen tool in Illustrator  Lecture 2: In this class we were to make our own monsters from the shapes we traced last week, then we were to make silhouettes in grayscale of our monsters. After that we were taught how to use the path finder tool to create shading and lighting for our monsters. WORK This is my final piece for this project This was the Surrealistic inspiration for my final piece where I liked the idea of having the snow fall within the dress over a snowy town. Outcomes of the lecture: - How to blend in everything seamlessly using lights and shadow - How to piece together different items in photoshop Week 9: We learned how to use perspective and puppet warp to change the perspective of an item. Most preferably an angular item for perspective warp but for puppet warp can also be used to do a more detailed warp Week 10: We were given the time to continue our 1st project in class and raise any questions we had to the teacher.
